You should definitely get the Image Resizer. It allows you to resize images by simply right clicking on the icon—no need for image editing software! This no hassle tool is great for e-mailing downsized photos...

Thanks to all who attended the Proz Conference in Aix-en-Provence!
We want to thank everyone who participated in the Proz regional conference in Aix last November. It wouldn't have been possible without the help from conference attendees and our guest speakers.
We also greatly appreciated the Montreal conference in October. Andrew Draheim from Dig-IT! gave an enlightening presentation about content management and change. He discussed in detail industry best practices for managing clients' translations and improving workflows. What we most appreciated, however, was when he talked about change, or more precisely, people's inherent resistance to change.
At today's pace of innovation, new technical problems are constantly cropping up for the translation industry as a whole. Translators need to confront these as adaptive challenges rather than as problems. Challenges take time to overcome and struggling is a necessary part of the process. Don't retreat from these challenges because denial will only lead you up river in Egypt. Open up to new ideas and new solutions. Seek advice and tranining as necessary. Stay informed. If you persevere and adapt to new technologies, your life and work will be made a whole lot easier.Last but not least, a touch of humor... a colleague brought to my attention an error on one of her SNCF train tickets. The "vol du billet", or "stolen ticket", was mistranslated as "flight of the ticket". Sounds like poetic thievery to us!
Les Craies d'Azur, France's first-ever street painting festival
This summer, the Pays Niçois local chapter of the Junior Chamber International will be organizing an innovative new arts festival in the South of France. Les Craies d'Azur will bring together artists, businesses, youth and adults for two days of street painting at Cap 3000 in the city of St Laurent du Var, June 14 and 15.
In addition to creating a fun cultural event for the whole family, the goal of the festival is to raise money to finance art workshops in local schools. Businesses will sponsor the event and local artists will use the proceeds to work with school children throughout the following schoolyear.
We are not only sponsoring this event, but also helping coordinate it as volunteers. If you'd like more information about the Junior Chamber International or Les Craies d'Azur, please feel free to contact us.
